Do you know we have the capabilities to create recycled products created within our Haydock site?
As a business Coral Products PLC continue to invest.
Our recently commissioned plastic recycling facility at Coral Products (Mouldings) Ltd has been granted accredited re-processor status via the UK Environment Agency by meeting the strict guidelines of “The producer responsibility obligations (packaging waste) regulations 2007.”
We will be starting 2020 on a sustainable start as the new status, commences on the 1st of January.
This provides the group with an opportunity to reduce operational costs by fully offsetting the plastic packaging waste levy.
Due to very high internal and external capacity demand of clean recycled plastic the operational hours of the recycling plant are increasing from the current 8 hour 5 day per week to a 16 hour 5 day per week in December.
The group’s projection is to reach a further capacity increase by the end of the current financial year on 30 April 2020 to a 24 hour 5 day a week process.
Mick Wood coral Products PLC CEO said “This accreditation is the culmination of many months of hard work by the Coral team. Following on from our new lightweight recycling bins and boxes that came on stream earlier in the year, it further demonstrates our focused commitment to plastic minimisation and 360-degree plastic recycling.”
As a plastics company with a conscience, the group continue to stand by their statement, and invest in the business in a sustainable circular economic manner, reducing the impact upon the environment and utilising a resource that others have disregarded.
Building a profitable business with an ethos continues to be the focus for the Coral Products PLC group.
